Osteopathy In Gozo

Osteopathy takes a holistic and patient-centered approach to health care, based on the principle that a persons sense of wellbeing and their body’s function can be improved by manual treatment of their musculoskeletal structure.

An osteopathic assessment is undertaken to treat your issue, whether it be an injury to manage pain, improve mobility, enhance your health and wellbeing or prevent disease. This involves a diagnosis and then treatment of joints, muscles, ligaments, nerves and spinal structures using gentle, safe and effective manual techniques. Treatment may include gentle joint manipulation, stretching, massage or joint balancing techniques.

What Can I Expect From My Osteopathy Session?

1. Initial Consultation - €65 (New Patients)

Your initial consultation and treatment will last approximately 1 hour and will involve taking a detailed medical case history. An examination will then be carried out and you may be asked to perform simple movements to aid in the understanding and assessment of your situation. In addition, other tests such as blood pressure, reflexes, joint mobility and muscle strength may also be performed.

A diagnosis will then be made based on your case history and examination findings which will be discussed with you before treatment begins.

You may be referred to your doctor or suggested to seek alternative treatment or investigations which may help solve your problem.

2. Follow Up Session - €50

Sometimes more than one session is needed to not only relieve pain but to rehabilitate and help prevent future recurrences of the problem. Additional treatment sessions last half an hour.

3. 1 Hour Session - €100

If you require a longer osteopathy session, you may book a 1 hour treatment.
